Atlanta Botanical Garden Lights

Every year at Christmas the Atlanta Botanical gardens puts up millions of lights on their trees and around their grounds in a wonderful display. It is very popular and often the parking lot is full and people are turned away  since the gardens become so crowded. Families come with their children who love the atmosphere and on the Friday we went it was full of people having Christmas work parties in the various buildings on the site. It was a very cold night and everyone was dressed up like the Arctic Vortex had escaped again. The gardens had arranged fire-pits in one part of the grounds and they were very popular with people roasting marshmallows. There were also bars spread around where you could get hot cider or hot chocolate as well as beer and wine and liquor. So it was a merry crowd indeed.

Here are a few photos taken that night.

A big sculpture that reminded us of Susie and Brians's dog Chloe.

We also took some videos whilst there . This is one that will fit on the blog site.
